Whether you are a seasoned scareactor, or just starting out in the entertainment business, we want to hear from you, and equally welcome performers with all levels of experience.

Auditions & Performance Style

Our audition process is fun and relaxed and allows you to showcase the best of your abilities as a performer. We will ask you to learn and perform a short monologue which you can find below, plus take part in a short workshop which will give you the chance to make us scream!

Storytelling and imagination are at the centre of everything we do and because cast members often have to react to things which are unexpected, we need to feel confident that our cast members are able to 'think on their feet', react in character and steer the narrative back to the planned eventuality in any given situation. Performers who have strong improvisational skills or are used to ad-libbing, acting in murder mysteries or performing as interactive street theatre characters usually find this style of performance very easy to adapt to.

Fast Track Casting

For performers wishing to enter the exciting world of scareacting, AtmosFEAR! Entertainment Group's Scream School Scareactor Training Programme offers you the chance to learn the fundamental skills of scareacting during an intensive one day course. Performers who have successfully completed the course are automatically fast tracked through our casting process and are regularly offered roles in our productions. Please learn this script and be prepared to perform it informally in front of our casting team, using our props which will be available; a head, a noose and a saw. If you cannot learn it all, you may bring a copy as a prompt, but please do your best.

Step right up, thrill-seekers, for this is the delightfully scary world of AtmosFEAR!

Inside this big top you’ll witness sights and sounds that will test your will and take your breath away – literally!

Let me introduce myself: Zombo the Clown! King of clownery and baron of buffoonery! Now, wipe that grin of your face and steel yourself to meet The Amazing Conichio! His axe-throwing is a truly jaw-dropping feat of fright! He’s only missed a couple of times – poor bearded lady never knew what hit her…(use head).

Now, once you get in, there’s only one way out. See if you can survive the haunted halls of the house of wax! Keep your eyes peeled for Flextra, the Contortionist; she could be hiding in the strangest of places, but after a slip and a quick break of the neck (use noose) she's less likely to bend over backwards to help you!

Our resident medicine man, Doctor Leech is on hand, waiting to share with you the wonders of ancient medical practices for body and mind - it looks like some of you got here just in time! Don't worry, he sterilises his tools every year, whether they need it or not! (hold up saw)
